Rev. Dixon Goh

Adjunct Lecturer in the Centre for Chinese Research and Training

Rev. Dixon Goh

Dixon has been co-ordinating our Reflective Field Education papers and Internships for the Centre for Chinese Research and Training since 2019.

Currently, he serves as the sole pastor at Remuera Baptist Chinese church (RCBC), however his ministry involvement with RCBC began in 1998. In 2003, he followed God’s calling and completed his full-time seminary training at the Bible College of New Zealand (BCNZ), now Laidlaw College in 2006. He started his pastoral ministry since then. Dixon was also a Youth and Young Adults pastor in Singapore for over three years, and this has given him a well-rounded pastoral ministry experience. Throughout his local and overseas ministries, Dixon has been mentoring and working with church interns to help them with the practical perspectives of church ministries.

Dixon was born in Malaysia, studied and grew up in Singapore. He came to Auckland, New Zealand in 1993. Growing up in a multi-cultural and multi language society, this has enabled him to develop a strong understanding and empathy of people from different cultural backgrounds. Dixon can speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese and Hakka. He is married to Dorcas, and they have a young son, Gideon.
