Sarah Axford

Administrator – Carey Centre for Lifelong Learning

BSc (Hons)

Bio

Sarah started at Carey in 2019. She administers the Centre for Lifelong Learning and is available to discuss anything to do with the running and functioning of the Centre – including, but not limited to, access to the vast range of webinars and courses on offer, payments, and anything relating to applying for Baptist Leadership Registration.

Sarah has experience working in the health, education and NGO sectors, both at ground and senior management levels. Prior to a career break, to fully enjoy her role as a mum, she was a National Manager for an NGO working with families with children with special needs: a role that involved training and development, project management, staff management and supervision, securing government contracts and strategic planning. She has a passion for children with special needs, or those with emotional/behavioural challenges and supporting their families to negotiate some of the challenges this can present. She also enjoys seeing all people grow in their passion and calling and provides encouragement and support through their journey.

“In my current role I have the benefit of flexibility and variety. I enjoy the connection with Baptist Leaders as well as trying to ensure that anyone coming into contact with the Carey Centre for Lifelong Learning has the best possible ‘customer’ experience. Behind the scenes , I also enjoy anything from the structure of invoicing, to the creativity of project/development work.”
