About the programme

.Come on a journey of transformation to be shaped and equipped for participation in the mission of God.

Our (non-NZQA) Certificate and Diploma in Intercultural Practice provide a unique opportunity for followers of Jesus to journey together with others while being formed for participation in God’s mission, wherever that may be and whatever form it might take.

This is not a standalone programme, and you will participate in one of Carey’s NZQA accredited academic programmes to form and equip you for a mission-shaped life. Together these programmes will work together to help you cultivate attentiveness to God and to others, awareness of mission contexts, and the ability to relate and serve interculturally.

Mission Track students form a cohort who support each other and are mentored in their mission preparation.

This programme of intentional formation includes:

    • The practice of missional Bible reading
    • Missiological learning
    • Peer engagement
    • Sessions with mission practitioners
    • Mission-related practice
    • Tools to build self awareness
    • Personal mentoring.

“The Spirit of God is at work in the world in exciting and surprising ways. As God’s people, we are called to be part of God’s redemptive action. Mission Track creates a space where we can connect, explore, and grow in ways that equip us to enact that call. Join us as we discern together how to live as people of hope who engage deeply in the world.”

Levi Dyer, student

“Carey has been a deepening journey for my biblical, missional, and inter-cultural understanding, which I have been able to apply effectively in my youth work and fellowship. Through Mission Track, I have been shown new ways of connecting and studying my faith, work, and culture, and have formed life-long connections whilst deepening my heart for the intercultural unity and mission of God.”

– Levi Dyer, Graduate, Certificate in Intercultural Practice
