Graduands Monique Lee and Sela Havili challenged their fellow classmates at Graduation 2021 in April. “We must see that he is the one who calls us, and he is the one who will tell us the next step. He is the one who has set out the work before us.”

Master of Applied Theology student Cianne Tait is planning out a research project that will explore the experience of depression and anxiety among young people. The goal of the research is to listen to the mental health stories of Christians between the ages of 18 and 30 who live with depression or anxiety and to reflect on these experiences.

How we do church has changed significantly since Mike Warring graduated from Carey’s Pastoral Leadership programme in 2006: "A lot of our focus has been on the gathered community and we now need to be resourcing and equipping to be the church scattered."

Janet farms beef and sheep in Raetihi and her theological training at Carey was a far cry from her daily farming routine. It has enlarged her understanding of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Read more about Janet's story.
