Peter Anderson

Adjunct Lecturer

MTh, BA (Hons), BA STD

Peter has been a visiting lecturer at Carey for many years, initially teaching a course in 2006.  Most recently he has taught Mission of God in both English and Mandarin

After graduating from the University of Cape Town Peter taught high school geography in his hometown of Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. In 1972 he served as Travelling Secretary with the (IFES related) Students’ Christian Association in Southern Africa before starting theological study at London School of Theology in the UK. Peter subsequently served for many years in Asia  (Taiwan, Hong Kong and China)  serving the peoples of China through education, medical & social services, relief and development. Peter  is currently working on a major writing project and also preaches regularly in Chinese churches.  A second edition of Peter’s book “Weapons of Peace” (based on the lives of his early missionary forebears in Africa) was published in 2016.

I love the great staff colleagues at Carey, the great students and a teaching a wonderful subject”
