Legacy Beyond a Lifetime

Leave a Legacy Beyond a Lifetime!

100 years ago, Carey was established by people who put their faith in a future they couldn’t see. They believed in the promise of Carey’s mission, and would be delighted to know what has eventuated from their investment. The fruit we see today is testament to their legacy of faith and foresight, and of God’s faithfulness.
We don’t know what is in store for the Church of Aotearoa 100 years from now. But for future church leaders, their capacity to climb the mountain lies in the present moment, in the simplest of first steps. By writing a gift into your will, you share in the conviction that Carey has a future worth investing in.
Consider leaving a legacy that will have an impact on the Church beyond your lifetime. A gift of any size will support our future work. Some supporters find that leaving a percentage of their estate is the best way to remember a cause they hold close. Our friendly team is available for a conversation about how to honour your wishes by leaving a gift in your will to Carey.

Thank you for participating in Carey's future!

“In my experience, people prefer not to talk about wills, money, or death. Yet, in the world of education, it’s essential to regularly measure and discuss impact. Leaving a bequest is a practical and powerful way for you to have a tangible impact on hundreds of lives, an impact that will last well beyond your own lifetime.”

FAQs

What does it mean to leave a gift in my will or make a bequest?
Bequests are gifts that are made as part of a will. A bequest gift is a way of creating a lasting legacy at Carey that will make an impact for years to come. Gifts in wills are an important source of fundraising for Carey, helping ensure out continuing operation into the future.
Can my bequest be used for a particular purpose?
It is possible to make a bequest and tie it to a particular purpose, and we will do our upmost to honour your request. However, it is more beneficial for Carey to receive general ‘no strings attached’ bequests as we can put your gift towards the greatest need.
Will the gift in my will be kept confidential?
It is important to Carey that your privacy is respected. All information that you provide us with will be kept confidential unless we have your express permission to share it.
Do I need to let Carey know I am leaving a gift in my will?

It is entirely up to you whether or not you let us know. We understand that the contents of your will are personal and you may prefer to keep those details entirely to yourself. However, if you are willing, we’d love for you to let us know by emailing [email protected] so that we can personally thank you, keep you informed about any changes that impact gifts in wills, and keep you updated on the work and life of Carey.
