Nau mai, haere mai

Welcome to the learning community here at Carey. We understand that transitioning into a new community can be daunting and a bit unsettling, so our orientation events are perfect opportunities for you to learn more about what to expect during your time with us. No matter your study mode, or where you are located, we have an option that suits you.

We offer both on-site and online orientations to give all our students a chance to meet the team at Carey, learn more about study and support options, and ask questions before you begin your classes.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].

On-site Orientation

On-site orientation for semester two 2025 will be at our Auckland campus (473 Great South Road, Penrose) and begins with a pōwhiri. Please plan to arrive by 8.45am.

You’re encouraged to bring whānau or friends along with you to the event. You’ll also get to know the teaching and support teams, find out more about studying at Carey, meet fellow students, and share some kai with us.

Registrations for Orientation will open in June, so keep an eye out for that.

Online Orientation

For those unable to make the Auckland-based orientation, we will offer an online option.

You’ll have an opportunity to hear from and meet the teaching and support teams, ask questions, and meet fellow students.

CareyOnline

All courses have an online component, which is found on our learning management system, CareyOnline. Lecture recordings, assessment information, important news and updates, forms, and more are housed here. CareyOnline is how we communicate with you.

At Carey we believe that the God of mission is at work in the world by the Spirit to renew people and places in Christ. Our calling is to equip Christian leaders with the convictions, competencies, and capacity to participate in that mission, bringing gospel renewal in churches and communities across Aotearoa and around the world.
