Visiting Lecturer for the postgraduate course, Special Topic (Ministry): Suffering Christ’s Call: Christian Discipleship and the Way of the Cross
Dr Michael Mawson is Senior Lecturer in Theological Ethics at the University of Aberdeen. He holds a PhD from the University of Notre Dame and degrees in History and Religious Studies from Victoria University of Wellington.
He is the author of Christ Existing as Community: Bonhoeffer’s Ecclesiology (Oxford, 2018) and co-editor (with Philip Ziegler) of the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Dietrich Bonhoeffer (Oxford, 2019).
He is currently working on a new book on theology and ageing. His wider research and teaching interests include Lutheran theology, disability studies, phenomenology, bioethics, and political theology.
