Dr Csilla Saysell

Csilla is Old Testament lecturer. Originally from Hungary, she has also taught Old Testament and Hebrew at St John’s College, Nottingham and as a guest lecturer at Cranmer Hall at Durham University.  

Dr George Wieland

George is the Director, Mission Research and Training leading the Mission Track and teaching various mission related courses, as well as some New Testament courses in the MAppTheol programme. 

Dr John Tucker

In addition to his role as Principal, John teaches Church History and Preaching. He also coordinates Carey’s School of Preaching.

Dr Phil Halstead

Phil lectures in Applied Theology with a focus on pastoral care, pastoral counselling, inner healing, and integrative theology.  

Rachel Roche

Rachel co-ordinates our Internships and Field Education papers. She is the point person for study in Children and Family Leadership.

Sam Kilpatrick

Sam is our Youth Pastoral Leadership Coach as well as having overall responsibility for Community Life of the College. 

Dr Sandy Kerr

Kaiārahi-Rangahau Māori

Sandy (Ngāti Hauā, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Raukawa) is Carey’s Maori guide, counsellor, supervisor and Rangahau research.

Dr Sarah Harris

Sarah lectures in New Testament Studies. Her research interests are in Gospel Studies and especially the Gospel of Luke, and she is particularly keen to support women in their spiritual journey and academic study.

Timothy is the Director for the Centre for Chinese Research and Training.
