Caleb Haurua

Intermission Co-ordinator / Lecturer

MAppTheol, BAppTheol

Bio

Caleb coordinates the full-year Intermission programme which provides formational discipleship for young adults. He has also been an adjunct lecturer in the past and continues to provide lecturing in other classes.

Having been a youth pastor for several years, Caleb desires to see young people prophetically challenge the Church in Her calling to be sign and witness to the World. Caleb has completed his Bachelor of Applied Theology and was the first Māori and Pasifika student to complete his Masters of Applied Theology at Carey.

I love that Carey is an ecosystem of support and sustenance that helps to nurture staff and students as whanau together—“in the crowd” following after Jesus. I love that the process of whakawhanaungatanga, being family together, is deeply embedded in our ways of relating to one another and to God!
