The purpose of pastoral ministry training is to produce pastors who can love, feed, and lead God’s people in a way that advances God’s mission in the world. The individually designed and personally supervised programme is designed to equip our graduates with the knowledge, skill, character, and passion to do this, recognising the variety of contexts and roles in which they will serve.
Students accepted into this programme will graduate with:

Our time at Carey was a time of worship. Whether it was sitting in Christology classes, lectures on the Gospel of John, visiting a marae with Understanding Culture, gathering for Tuesday morning chapel, or enjoying lunch with new friends, Carey was a place where the riches of the gospel of the triune God were communicated to evoke delight! Carey equipped us to be ministers of the Word in the world, to love the church and its God-given mission, and to be people of character who announce the good news of Jesus Christ.
