HAUTUTANGA MO MANATU MATAWAKA
Are you a leader or emerging leader with a non-English speaking background?
Then this programme is for you.
You may be from a church or fellowship that is new or well established in New Zealand and you want training for leadership. Here at Carey we wish to partner with you to equip you as you serve and minister in your church.
“Our experience is that a lot of leader’s lack English and can’t study in a full-time course. We don’t have confidence. We need to upgrade our theology, ministry and management because many of us have only the experience from our home country and don’t know how to operate in New Zealand.”
Pastor La Wawm Marip | NZ Kachin (Burmese) Baptist Church, Auckland
This specialised programme has been developed in partnership with Baptist Ethnic Ministries and is in response to recognising the increase in the number of ethnic churches and leaders in these churches, predominantly in Auckland, that need training at an English level adjusted to suit them.

The programme is two courses each semester (four courses per year) for two years.
Once you have successfully completed all four courses you will receive a Carey Certificate in Ministry Leadership (non NZQA accredited).
Upon completion graduates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Achieved a recognised Carey Baptist College certificate.
