The Doctor of Philosophy is a thesis-based degree that is granted on the basis of an original and substantial contribution to knowledge.
Carey has a Memorandum of Agreement with AUT University which allows Carey to assist students in the advanced research degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhDPhil). The degree is administered by the Doctoral Studies Board of AUT.
Each programme requires the successful completion of a 360 credit thesis and takes at least three years of full-time study.
Carey has a cohesive thinking to AUT’s new approach to postgraduate study, innovative, supportive, and collaborative, helping to challenge traditional thinking as well as students themselves.
For more information please see AUT’s website on Postgraduate study: http://www.aut.ac.nz/postgraduate/#doct.
This programme is available for New Zealand and International students.
Admission to the Master of Philosophy is restricted to applicants who have an Honours Degree or equivalent, together with proven research skills.
