For over 90 years Carey has served the churches of Aotearoa New Zealand by training and resourcing leaders for ministry and mission.
Since 1926, more than 5,000 students have studied through Carey and gone on to serve in local churches as senior or associate pastors, youth ministry leaders, and children’s workers. Our graduates also serve as church planters, mission directors, and community chaplains.
Others lead not-for-profit organisations, and many have significant leadership positions within the marketplace. they are participating effectively and fruitfully in God’s mission to renew communities and transform people throughout Aotearoa and around the world.
Nearly half our students come from beyond the Baptist movement, making Carey a truly interdenominational theological college with a significant ministry across the churches of New Zealand.
As we press on with our vision of resourcing churches for ministry and mission, we are excited about the opportunities ahead.
