Pastoral Leadership Training - the Diploma of Pastoral Leadership
Do you feel God is calling you to be a pastor? Pastoral Leadership Training is a three-year on-site programme, training pastoral leaders for Baptist churches and other denominations. While completing the Bachelor of Applied Theology you will also work towards the Diploma of Pastoral Leadership which includes engaging in church-based learning experiences, attending training days, Formation Tuesday and having input from mentors and supervisors with evaluation.

Are you already committed to a ministry role you’re passionate about? Keen to deepen your training but don’t want to put your ministry on hold while doing study? You can do an Internship through Carey where you can complete any of the school’s programmes while remaining in ministry roles, usually within a church or a Christian organisation. Carey has an open access policy that allows you to enrol in any of the academic study qualifications within the curriculum provided admission requirements are met. Personal study allows you to select the qualification and areas of study that best suit you.

Intermission
Intermission is a gap year for those at the quarter life stage (17-22) needing to prepare for the next quarter of their lives. Intermission is a time for re-evaluation of life direction, rethinking of worldviews, refuelling for discipleship, and reordering of priorities. It is a community and team event limited to 20 students with personal mentoring. Intermission will ask you to critically reflect on action, to think through what you've been exposed to, so as to reconsider how you will do discipleship in the 21st century.
