The purpose of an Open Tuesday is to provide a simple, relaxed, informative, and ‘live’ opportunity to check-out Carey and its training programmes. No bottom-lines to sign. No special programmes. This is us… as we are. Come and have a look!
What will happen on an Open Tuesday? 8.45am-4pm (subject to change)
8:45am welcome and an introduction to Carey
Over a cuppa in the staff room, we will make some introductions and welcome you to the college.
9:00am communication corners
Students preparing for future pastoral leadership roles gather every Tuesday to preach sermons to each other, with a mentor guiding and facilitating the occasion.
9.30am tour of the carey campus
While students are in their smaller ‘formation groups’ we’ll take a walk around the campus, look at the library and end up in the dining room for morning tea and to hear more on the community aspects of the college.
11:15am community worship
The Carey Community gathers for worship each week.
12pm lunch and After Dinner Mints
Lunch together with the Carey community. During lunch each week we have guests from beyond the Carey community come in and share about their involvement as leaders in ministry, mission and the marketplace.
1pm a closer look
An opportunity to look more closely at Carey’s programmes and for you to ask all your questions. Different staff members will join with us for this session.
