Cross Cultural Studies
This course covers difficulties in cross cultural communication, biblical and historical examples of crossing cultures, theological critique of culture, awareness of one’s own cultural perspectives, tools for the understanding of culture, practical issues in living and communicating cross-culturally.
CONTENT OUTLINE
This course will cover:
(a) the role of Theology, Anthropology and other social sciences in CCS
(b) definitions of culture, culture shock and culture change
(c) communication in another culture
(d) family, status, religion, and lifecycles in culture
(e) conversion in culture.
