Development in Preaching
The case for variety in preaching, including deductive, inductive, narrative/storytelling and other models; evangelistic, topical, doctrinal preaching; audience analysis and persuasion; identifying and strengthening one’s personal philosophy and style; preaching in social/cultural contexts; important sermon elements. This course builds upon the foundation laid in MM663 – Introduction to Preaching.
Prerequisite: MM663 and 30 credits in Bible & Theology OR Permission of Dean of Undergraduate Studies .
