Field Education can be undertaken in a number of ministry settings focusing on various ministry contexts. Examples include pastoral and youth ministry, cross cultural mission, child and family, workplace, and creative ministries, or a mixture of these things. When you enrol into one of Carey's academic programs you will chooses various courses to fit into the qualification requirements. While there are a number of core courses in the areas of Bible and Theology, the curriculum also contains a wide selection of courses in various areas of mission and ministry. When a student enrols they should choose courses in the mission and ministry area that are going to help develop them in their particular area(s) of focus. Both the Coordinator of Field Education and the Registrar are happy to discuss course choices with you if you have any questions.
