'Pipe dream or possibility'? The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) is one of the most well known and yet misunderstood passages of Scripture. For some the Sermon on the Mount represents the 'pie in the sky' ideals, unattainable in this life. For others it is a manifesto for radical counter-cultural living which only a few 'super-spirituals' can achieve.
In these eight sessions, Carey staff journey through the Sermon on the Mount and open up its practical, powerful, and penetrating teaching as they apply it to life in the twenty first century, making it attainable for every follower of Christ. With one eye on the Bible and the other on the world, the message of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount is heard afresh.
Each session in this series is approximately 20 minutes long with small group discussion questions included in a booklet which is designed to be photocopied for each group participant:
