Worship and Wisdom Literature
One-third
of the Bible is poetry, but it is poetry that differs radically from
the poetry of the Western world, both in form and in function. This
course will place particular emphasis on the poetic nature of worship
and wisdom literature and how their poetic nature underscores their
eternal relevance and power. This course will also explore the wisdom
of these books in their fulfilment through the work of Jesus Christ and
their contemporary significance in the lives of the people of God.
Prerequisites: MB530, MB533
