- bn Taeri Mouth 1861 d. 10 September 1937. Leading Baptist layman and temperance campaigner. Member Dunedin/Hanover St; Oxford Terrace. Life Deacon of Oxford Tce. President Union 1906/7. Solicitor to the Union 1905-19. Supreme Court Justice, 1921-33. Adams was a regular contibutor to newspaper correspondence columns on temperance matters but had to curtail public activism on appointment to the bench.
