- bn – d. Pastor and Editor. Trained at East London Missionary College. Churches: Lincoln 1880-83; Lincoln Rd 1882. Secretary Union 1882-1883. Editor NZB 1881-1882. President Canterbury Assn 1882. Spencer was an enthusiast for Union but had to give up ministry due to problems with his voice. He left N.Z. for the U.S.A. in 1884.
