Smith , Shirley (née Wilson)
1930- . She moved from high school teaching to Baptist deaconess training 1957-1958. After her marriage to fellow-student Brian Smith (see separate entry), she served alongside Brian with N.Z.B.M.S. in India. Her support for Brian and her three children meant more limited involvement in wider ministry options. She acted as Bursar to N.Z. Baptist Theological College for several years.
