Ings , William
- bn Wincanton, Somersetshire, England 24 May 1836 d. Dunedin 29 July 1926. Lay evangelist and pioneer of churches in Dunedin. Ings came to Dunedin from Australia in 1861. He was a successful gardener and opened up land in South Dunedin. An active prohibitionist, he worked for decades in Sunday School work and was significant in the origins and/or history of the Caversham, South Dunedin, Mornington and Owaka churches.
